DoubleTree by Hilton Newbury North

Unfortunately I have been staying at the hotel for nearly three weeks due to my brother being gravely ill who lives in South Oxfordshire and I live oop north In Lancashire. However although selected in a " rush " the Orida has proved to be an ideal " bolt hole". I haven't spent a great deal of time at the hotel due to the circumstances but everything has been extremely good. As with every business the biggest asset is the members of staff. I can honestly say that every member of staff I have had dealings with has been polite... friendly...professional and above all with a sense of humour. It would be unfair to name names obviously but in my honest opinion the staff I've had contact with are an excellent envoy for Orida. Thank you very much. Kind Regards Stuart Turner

The staff were really helpful when I arrived they helped me with a problem I had he didn’t need to. The guy was called Vincent and he was excellent which gave a really good impression and the breakfast stuff. Also managed to find some mushrooms to cook for me, which was even though they weren’t on the menu.

A good size room with a comfortable bed. We enjoyed a bar meal on our arrival which was good value for money. A good breakfast with many choices.

Large room, comfy bed, nice bathroom, clean and provided essentials needed. Smart reception, pleasant front desk staff (thanks for your help Vincent). Haven't tried the spa yet, this my 2nd stay. Good night's sleep. Quiet rooms. Hotel staff offered to challenge parking eye ticket.

Our requests were all met, & the dinner we had (as a family) was excellent, with excellent service from the team. Breakfast was good, but a tad limited - no mushrooms!! Had to wait if you wanted eggs other than scrambled - staff were usually serving others in the restaurant.
